My kids will eat fruit all day long, especially my daughter. Getting them to eat their veggies is a different story. I offer smoothies a few times per week. My goal is daily. However, this easy three-ingredient smoothie was a hit in my house.
I like to use frozen fruits because they cost less and last longer. My #1 tip when using frozen fruits is to let them thaw before blending! Thawing will release more flavors from the fruit and minimize the need for additional liquids in the smoothie.
Ingredients:
- Frozen mango (let it thaw!)
- Bananas, fresh or frozen. If frozen, you don’t have them thaw.
- Spinach, fresh or frozen. If frozen, you don’t have to thaw. I prefer fresh.
- Coconut water, or water, or milk, or yogurt – if needed to liquify the smoothie. (my fave is linked here)
That’s it. Blend until smooth and enjoy!
